Advantages of the double eccentric butterfly valve compared to the centric butterfly valve
- Less friction and wear: In contrast to centric butterfly valves, where the disc is positioned directly in the centre, the double eccentricity minimises the contact between the seal and the disc. This significantly extends the service life of the butterfly valve.
- Higher tightness: This design provides an excellent seal even at high pressures and temperatures.
- Lower torque requirement: Thanks to the eccentric design, less force is required for opening and closing, resulting in energy-saving operation.
