Flanged Check Valve

A non-return valve or one-way valve is a valve that normally allows the flow of fluid (liquid or gas) in only one direction.

Flange connection check valves or non-return valves are two-way valves, i.e. they have two openings in the body, one for the inlet and one for the outlet of the fluid. There are different types of check valves that are used in a variety of applications. There are different check valve seals such as NBR, EPDM, FPM-VITON and PTFE. These seals can be selected depending on the application such as temperature, medium and others.

An important concept for non-return valves is the opening pressure, i.e. the minimum differential pressure between the inlet and outlet at which the valve operates. As a rule, the check valve is designed for a certain opening pressure and can therefore be specified for this.
