Strainers For Pipelines

A wide range of strainers are indispensable components in pipework systems, which serve to filter impurities and thus ensure the smooth operation of the systems. Among the various types of strainers available on the market, flange strainers, stainless steel strainers and threaded brass strainers are particularly worth mentioning.

Flanged Strainers: Stainless Steel, Steel, GG25

The flanged strainer is a filter unit used in pipework systems to retain impurities such as dirt and solids. It is available in various materials such as stainless steel, steel and grey cast iron and has connections with nominal pressures of PN10, PN16, PN25 and PN40. The flange allows for easy installation on pipework flanges, while the different material options and pressure ratings can cover a wide range of applications.

A threaded strainer in a pipe is a type of filtration device used to remove solid particles from flowing liquids such as water, oil or gas. It consists of a housing with a threaded connection so that it can be easily installed in a pipework system. Inside the housing, a mesh or perforated screen traps impurities while allowing the liquid to pass through. Threaded strainers are used in various industries to protect downstream equipment such as pumps, valves and measuring devices from damage caused by contamination.

MY200 Y-Stainer: This MY200 slanted seat filter is usually installed upstream of valves sensitive to solids and impurities in the line medium. Similarly, the MY200 is used, for example, to clean the cooling water circuit for the next application. As the medium flows through the inner, fine-mesh strainer, dangerous solids are filtered out. If necessary, the strainer can be opened very easily and the screen cleaned.

MY201 Y-Stainer Stainless Steel: This Y-type strainer MY201 is mostly mounted in valves that are sensitive to solids and pollution in the leading medium. The MY201 is also used for cleaning the cooling water circulation for the next operation. While the medium flows through the inner, fine-meshed micro strainer, dangerous solids are filtered out. If necessary the strainer can easily be opened to clean the filter. The characteristics of the MY201 are presented in the column on the right. Strainers FP110, FP210, FP220 and FP230 are tubular elements for cleaning the medium from mechanical impurities. Their advantage is the robust strainer construction made of non-rusting steel and the possibility of cleaning without dismantling the valve cover. The valves are intended for use in the heating industry, especially in hot water and steam circuits. The wide range of offered nominal sizes allows using the filters in most standard applications. The valves are suitable for water, steam, air and other neutral media compatible with the valve materials used. Strainers can be installed in horizontal pipelines with the cover down. In vertical pipelines, installation is permitted only with flow from top to bottom. The direction of flow through the valve is indicated by the arrows on the body.

The corrosion-resistant filter insert consists of two perforated PTFE cylinders with an intermediate ETFE filter screen that provides the same excellent corrosion resistance as the FEP or PFA lining material.
