Electrically & pneumatically operated Namur valves

A directional control valve is a type of valve that allows liquids or gases to flow in different directions. It is often used in hydraulic or pneumatic systems to control the flow of media.

The directional control valve has several input and output ports and one or more internal controls that can divert the flow of the medium. Depending on the design and application, it can have different configurations, such as 2-way, 3-way or 4-way valves.

A 2-way valve has an inlet and an outlet port and can open or close the flow between these two ports. It either allows the flow or shuts it off completely.

A 3-way valve has one inlet port and two outlet ports. It can divert the flow of the medium between the inlet and one of the outlets. There are different switching options, e.g. "A/B" (diverting the flow between the outlets) or "A/AB" (diverting the flow between the inlet and one of the outlets).

A 4-way valve has one inlet port and three outlet ports. It can divert the flow of the medium between the inlet and one of the outlets. It offers different switching options, such as "A/B" (diverting the flow between the outlets), "A/AB" (diverting the flow between the inlet and one of the outlets) or "A/B/AB" (diverting the flow between all the ports).

Directional valves are used in many industrial applications, e.g. hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, air conditioning, heating systems and many other areas where the flow of liquids or gases must be controlled.
