When standard isn't enough —
your bespoke valve solution
from FERGO
Every industrial plant is different. We don't deliver compromises — we deliver valves that match your process, your medium, and your pressure requirements exactly. From the first enquiry to the tested, assembled unit.
Industrial valves built to order — because every process has its own answer
In industrial practice, off-the-shelf valves rarely solve every problem. Aggressive media, restricted installation spaces, unusual pressure ratings, or certification requirements go beyond what any standard catalogue covers. That is exactly where FERGO comes in.
We configure ball valves, butterfly valves, shut-off valves, and knife gate valves to your exact specifications — with bodies in stainless steel, cast steel, brass, ductile iron, or duplex stainless steel, across pressure ratings from DIN PN10 to PN40 or ANSI 150 to 600 lbs. What we always include: technical advice based on your actual operating conditions, not generic recommendations.
This is especially true for automated solutions: pneumatic or electric actuators, NAMUR solenoid valves, limit switch boxes for PLC integration, and Siemens SIPART PS2 positioners — everything from a single source, assembled and tested. On request, we also work with actuators from AUMA or Bernard Controls.
We don't disappear after commissioning. We hold a broad stock of original spare parts: pneumatic cylinders, gate plates, inductive sensors, plate seals, stem extensions, gland packings, and U-profile seals. Fast response times, planned maintenance, minimal downtime.
Complete automation packages for butterfly valves and ball valves
Combining a valve with an actuator is one thing. Delivering a working, tested automation system that integrates cleanly into your control environment is another. For every configuration, we match all components to each other before the system leaves our workshop.
Pneumatic Actuators
Double-acting or spring-return (fail-safe NC/NO). ATEX-certified versions for hazardous areas. Short switching times for frequent cycling.
View Actuators →Electric Actuators
J4C quarter-turn actuator, 24–240 V AC/DC, ISO 5211 interface. Direct integration into PLC and BMS systems without additional adapters.
View J4C Actuator →NAMUR Solenoid Valves
Standardised interface for precise control of pneumatic actuators. Available as 3/2-way and 5/2-way for single and double-acting systems.
View NAMUR Valves →Position Feedback
Switchmaster limit switch boxes and IFM inductive sensors for reliable valve position feedback to your control system.
View Switchmaster →Positioners
Siemens SIPART PS2 for precise control tasks with pneumatic quarter-turn actuators. Multiple option modules available.
View Positioners →Stem Extensions
For hard-to-reach installation points or underground chambers. In individually configurable lengths — suitable for ball valves and butterfly valves.
View Stem Extensions →For high or low process temperatures and spatially restricted installation situations, we plan in stem extensions and select actuators and sealing materials that perform reliably under those conditions. Contact our technical team to discuss your specific installation — we will find a solution.
Bespoke custom solutions for knife gate valves from FERGO
Knife gate valves are the robust choice for everything that no other valve type handles reliably: slurries, powders, bulk solids, fibrous media. Their structural advantage is a completely clear bore when open, leaving no obstacle in the flow path.
Special versions for silo and bulk solid applications
⚙ Purge Drillings
The sealing area can be blown clear with compressed air on demand — prevents solid particles from lodging between the gate and seat.
🔺 Deflector Cone
Protects the internal mechanism from direct abrasion by the bulk material — significantly extends service life in high-wear applications.
✂ Integrated Scraper
The gate plate automatically clears itself on every closing stroke — no manual intervention required, even with fibrous or sticky media.
⬛ Rectangular Connections
For conveying systems, silo outlets, and special installations, we manufacture knife gate valves with non-circular cross-sections to customer drawings.
Materials and seals — matched to your medium
Every adaptation described above is equally available for butterfly valves and ball valves. Get in touch and tell us your requirements — we will find a solution together. Guaranteed.
When standard stainless steel is not enough
Most FERGO valves from the standard range use proven materials such as stainless steel 1.4408, brass CW617N, or ductile iron GGG40. In practice, however, these materials reach their limits with particularly aggressive chemicals, high chloride content, or extreme temperature ranges.
Duplex / Super-Duplex
Higher strength and significantly better corrosion resistance than standard stainless steel — ideal for seawater, offshore applications, and chloride-rich media. See special material ball valves.
Hastelloy / Inconel
For particularly aggressive acids, alkalis, and high-temperature processes where even duplex is no longer sufficiently resistant. Used in chemical, petrochemical, and semiconductor applications.
PFA-lined Valves
Full PTFE/PFA lining protects all media-wetted surfaces from aggressive chemicals. PFA ball valves, plug valves and strainers from Flowserve available from stock.
Brass & Bronze Alloys
Proven in gas, drinking water, and HVAC applications. Our DVGW-approved ball valves in brass cover gas and potable water applications to standard.
Use our Chemical Resistance Tool to check media compatibility for common elastomers and housing materials at a glance.
