For safety valves with a defined fail position choose the single-acting version. For process valves with high actuating forces and fast switching times choose the double-acting version. Both are available with and without HART and with AOM feedback module (4–20 mA).
NAMUR mounting kit for rotary actuators (6DR4004-8D)
The mounting kit 6DR4004-8D enables standard-compliant installation of the Siemens SIPART PS2 on pneumatic quarter-turn actuators to VDI/VDE 3845 (NAMUR). The plastic coupling wheel transmits the rotary movement precisely. The mounting kit is ordered separately — the mounting bracket is required in addition. For a complete package with NAMUR solenoid valves and limit switch boxes, Fergo supplies everything from one source.
Diagnostics and predictive maintenance
The SIPART PS2 continuously records diagnostic data during operation — without external sensors. The device logs stroke counts, direction changes and response behaviour. When these values shift, the positioner flags an anomaly — often well before an unplanned shutdown. This predictive maintenance replaces fixed maintenance intervals with condition-based servicing. Analysis runs via SIMATIC PDM or via HART protocol in the existing asset management system.
