The optimised design of these PFA coated valves provide maximum flow capacity, minimal pressure drop and smooth operation in any system. All the components that could be in contact with flowing medium are fully fluoropolymer-lined, offering long term resistance to acids, alkalis, solvents and other corrisive fluids. Similarly, the tightness of the sealing against the downstream seat is ensured by the floating ball system even at low pressure flow.

PFA Atomac ball valve from FERGO

Why PFA-lined valves / PTFE-lined valves?
PFA linings are an excellent option for corrosive applications in industry. Just like PTFE, PFA offers exceptional resistance to chemicals, high temperatures and extreme conditions. Due to its excellent thermoplastic and mechanical properties, PFA is an ideal lining material for fittings and is therefore widely used. PFA can withstand temperatures from -268°C to 260°C. Due to their flexibility, they are used in various configurations such as ball valves, plug valves, check valves, butterfly valves, strainers and sight glasses.
