High performance butterfly valve
Double-eccentric butterfly valves are a special type of shut-off valve developed for reliable shut-off of liquids and gases in industrial applications. They are characterised by their unique design, in which both the stem and the disc are offset from the center. This design minimizes contact between the disc and seal during operation, reducing wear and extending the valve's lifespan. The result is a high Performance Butterfly Valve that maintains a tight seal and reliable performance even under high pressure and temperature conditions.
Unlike centric butterfly valves, the double offset design ensures that the disc moves into and out of the seat with minimal friction. This feature:
- Reduces operating torque.
- Minimizes the risk of seal deformation.
- Enhances the valve's ability to handle high-pressure and high-temperature applications.
