The stainless steel ball check valve (RB106) is the first choice for corrosive, hygienic or aggressive media — all wetted parts are 1.4408. The GGG40 ball backflow preventer (RB105) is the economical alternative for water and wastewater service with its self-cleaning aluminium ball.

An upstream strainer protects the sealing face from coarse solids. In systems with high flow velocities, rubber expansion joints reduce water hammer at pump stop. For requirements beyond the standard range, FERGO engineers configure custom solutions — including PFA-lined versions.
Installation — ball backflow preventer
FERGO ball check valves can be installed horizontally and vertically (flow from bottom to top). The flow arrow on the body shows the correct direction. For flanged ball check valves, tighten bolts gradually in a cross pattern. Threaded ball check valves (BSP female) are screwed into the pipe socket with thread sealant tape or hemp.
