Threaded check valve stainless steel — type RV101
The stainless steel threaded check valve (RV101) suits corrosive, hygienic and high-temperature applications. Body, disc and spring are stainless steel 1.4301 (AISI 304). The FKM/Viton seat seal resists chemicals, solvents and temperatures up to +150 °C. The check valve stainless steel is available from DN8 (¼") to DN50 (2") with double female thread to ISO 228/1. Max. operating pressure 16 bar. Typical applications: chemical processing, food and pharmaceutical industry, drinking water, steam condensate and seawater systems.
Threaded check valve brass — type RV102
The brass threaded check valve (RV102) is the economical solution for water, air and gas in building services. Body, disc and spring are brass. The NBR seat seal suits water (0 °C to +90 °C), air (−20 °C to +100 °C) and gas (−20 °C to +60 °C). The check valve brass is available from DN10 (⅜") to DN100 (4") — with female thread to ISO 228/1 or NPT. Max. operating pressure 25 bar (size-dependent, derated at larger DN). Typical applications: heating, sanitary, irrigation, compressed air and pump protection.

ISO 228/1 or NPT — which thread?
Fergo offers the brass threaded check valve (RV102) with both ISO 228/1 thread (also called BSP or G thread) and NPT thread. ISO 228/1 is the European standard for pipeline fittings and is the most common in the EU market. NPT is the American standard thread and appears in ASME/ANSI systems. Ensure the thread type of the valve matches your existing pipework. Mixing ISO and NPT requires adapters and is not recommended. The stainless steel model RV101 is available with ISO 228/1 thread only.

The threaded check valve is used wherever screwed connections in smaller pipelines are standard. In heating and sanitary systems the check valve brass protects circulating pumps and the drinking water network from backflow. In the chemical industry the check valve stainless steel secures dosing lines and sampling points. In compressed air systems the valve prevents pressure loss across the compressor. In irrigation and pool systems brass check valves protect the delivery line. An upstream strainer holds back particles and extends the valve's service life.
