Stainless steel 1.4408 is suitable for corrosive media, steam, chemical, pharmaceutical and food applications — temperature range up to +450 °C. GS-C25 cast steel is the more economical alternative for neutral media at high pressures up to PN40 and temperatures up to +400 °C (power stations, district heating). Grey cast iron GG25 is the standard choice for heating, cooling water and general HVAC applications up to +350 °C and PN16.
