What is a double eccentric butterfly valve?
In a double eccentric butterfly valve, the shaft and disc centrelines are offset in two separate planes. The disc lifts immediately clear of the seat on opening – no sliding, no abrasion. Result: minimal seat wear, smooth operation, long-term bubble-tight sealing to Class VI / ISO 5208, Leakage Rate A and AA.
